Meld

This meld, regrettable,
in debasing terms
lacks tactile quality
or begone conclusion:

While like in a dream
ignorant, furtive pupil finds
self-inflicted longing grief
in this, his, difficult time:

Judges impersonal, staid
and with disdain always
inflict tactical trauma
in superficial ways:

And memory loop
now destroyed
cannot keep up
with drama record,

Coming of age while
roaming instead
extols the traits
of the wasted,

This meld regretted
diminishes in the doubling,
children having children
belittles minors' coupling,
disastrous because
what awoke in the world
... is troubling.
