Sustain

These are my family
those who accept me
for who I am
Not those who scorn me
for who I am not

Those who witness my path
know my origin
share earliest memories

From moments of hand holding
to moments of future
bearing down ...

Who will sustain forgiveness
seek harmony, focus consistency,
gather pain in empathy
and heal me
and haul me in.
