But as Dreams Go

I am one who
often dreams of
events before they happen

But as dreams go
events in them are misshapen

It may be years before
I recognize what those
dreams were for

But as Dreams go
Real life corrects them

And I usually smile
for I am safe;
miles from sleep

But as dreams go
New venues start collecting

Submission in sleep
alerts my intellect
to rigors in life

But as dreams go
I find this all enchanting.

Dear Pat,

I did not know you had this site, or that you were a writer. How wonderful! :)

I am so blown away. This is very beautiful magical writing. I am really proud of you and delighted that you shared this with me. I am adding it to my RSS feed.

Also, I am so amazed that you also dream of events in this way. I do too.

Thank you SO much for taking the time to share this. Just amazing, the word you use in this poem, "enchanting" actually really suits your writing style. It is soooooo beautiful!!!

Thank you my amazing friend!
Robin :)

YOur words are always so kind. I am rounding the corner of your "book" [book seems an insufficient word here] more like "biblio" or "transforming treat"...
Just went troppo and I am inspired. Enoch could not have written it better.

I thought you might like the "feedback" so I pointed you to my poetry blog -- all poets are self-published by the way ... even Longfellow secretly published his own...

Now back to the novel adventure of a lifetime ... "Naked ..."
