by Pat Darnell
love is this stream
rippling on thighs
Spring water rushing by
my hand around
your torso
in gentle hug
bathing, listening
looking through trees
for love --
love for you, this inlet,
is this stream
where we lie
with ripples all about
pushing your thighs
love is not occupation
boots nor dust, but
younger stronger
deserving and robust.
